Patients usually have their diagnostic ultrasound first at one of our nearby ultrasound clinics in Vaughan, Unionville or Toronto, and a vein physician reviews the results with them before treatment.
With a doctor’s referral, the diagnostic ultrasound and physician consultation are covered by OHIP; without a referral, patients pay for them. Vein treatment itself is not covered by OHIP. A Health Spending Account can be used, and payment plans are available.
